Zoo Johor

Zoo Johor is one of the oldest zoos in Malaysia. It was built in the year 1928 by the Johor King, Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Abu Bakar. Originally called an “animal garden”, the medium-sized zoo was handed over to the state government to manage in the 1960s.





To enter the zoo, you are required to pay the entrance fee. An adult is RM2 and children is RM 1. Do you surprise with the entrance fee? It is extremely cheap compared to other zoos!


After buying the tickets, at the entrance, there will have the staff to help you take the group photos. You can purchase the photo and it will free you a frame as a souvenir.


When you enter the zoo, you will see a lake on your left-hand side. There are also some animals on the rest at the lake. Moreover, you can rent a water bike to have a tour of the lake.



Furthermore, there are over 100 species of animals living in the zoo. At here, you can observe the animals with a close and safe distance. The safety measures of the zoo are doing very well. The zoo keeps the animals with a very safe distance between the tourists to prevent any accidents happen.

















Besides that, there are also description boards at the cage. If you did not recognize the animals, you are able to refer to the board. On the board, it descript the animals' species, characteristics, diet, habitat and distribution. The board wrote in two languages which is Bahasa Melayu and English.








Other than that, you can have a close distance with the animals by feeding them foods. You can buy the foods from the stores. 



Furthermore, there is a corner that the tourist can take photos with the parrot. The parrot will fly to your hand. Then, you can snap photos. But it is not free of charge, u are required to pay RM5 for a photo.


Moreover, there are also some convenience and food stores in the zoo that you can purchase. You can buy souvenirs, foods and drinks here.


There is also a playground for children to rest and have fun here.


If you are tired, the zoo also had prepared several arbours that allow you to take a rest or eat some snacks here.


The zoo is kept clean and comfortable. The animals also had taken with good cares. The zoo is really suitable for a family to have a short trip and the price is extremely cheap! Take time to unwind at this unique zoo, and come back with wonderful memories and a day well spent with family.

Istana Bukit Serene


Istana Bukit Serene is the official residence for the Sultan of Johor and remains as one of the most famous landmarks in Johor.

Istana Bukit Serene belongs to the state government although it was a gift from the Johor government to the late Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Abu Bakar (June 4, 1895 - May 8, 1959) in conjunction with the ruler’s 40th anniversary as the sultan of Johor.



Istana Bukit serene is a place that suitable people to come after dinner because it has beautiful night scene. People can relief their stress from the whole day work or study and slow down their pace here. 

This also create a platform people to establish a good rapport among them especially for family.
